I know, I know. I have blogged about this before. But I really do love the ornithology section of the Natural History Museum, and can't stop myself taking photographs of these guys everytime I visit. Its like visiting old friends at this point.
wow, great pictures, and your native birds are so much different than ours! also, whenever i go to washington d.c. i ALWAYS have to go to the ornithology section of the natural history museum to take pictures. it's just so beautiful. side note, the last time i went i took more pictures than ever, and then had my camera stolen a couple weeks later with all of those pictures. i cried.
Thanks Danielle! Its funny - I'm not even sure any of these are native birds, I know the Huia (second one down) is a native but extinct NZ bird so I guess native for me though. I do tend to gravitate towards the NZ native birds. I love the bizarre combos of birds in museums, a spoonbill, lounging next to a pheasant who looks less than pleased by this pairing. Ha! I think I remember when you got your camera stolen, it was bad times. You will have to go back again and take more! x
Nice! I haven't got my photos off my camera yet.
