Oh my goodness, that book looks amazing. I've been fascinated by Scott's expedition ever since I read this novel when I was younger:

And recently, I stayed up all night to finish this fascinating account of the tragedy:
RACHEL LOUISA HOW ARE WE NOT BEST FRIENDS. I've been in love with Scott and co since I was like 8 and we had to study him at school, I'm pretty sure I thought I was going to marry him when I grew up. Its funny, the more I have read in the last year the more I want to marry various other members of the team. OATES obvs because he loves ponies, but I think I have a special place in my heart for Cherry (have you read his book The Worst Journey in the World http://www.amazon.co.uk/Worst-Journey-World-Vintage-Classics/dp/0099530376/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1317974373&sr=8-1 its INCREDIBLE)
Adding both of these to my wishlist now. Why isn't Titus Oates MY best imaginary friend!
I've just about finished reading Scott's biography, his wife sounds a proper nightmare. I can't decide if she is a bit of a legend (being all hey whats wrong with wanting to hang out with the men on their boats) or a bit of a bitch.
I told my boyfriend last night I want to get a puppy and name it Titus Oates!

Ahhhh, totally wanted to marry Titus Oates too, what's not to love! I have never spoken to anyone else who shared this love of it all from childhood! Although he's a pretty good namesake for a puppy too, I must say.
Totally buying The Worst Journey in the World as fast as I can type this comment/get on Amazon.
I don't know if you ever saw this documentary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yhf1sEbO1bI But it was SO GOOD. I'm not sure where else online you might find it, but if you haven't seen it, it's definitely worth watching - just all the details you could ever have dreamed about.
And that exhibition looks so good. A trip down south is definitely in order in the new year. Amazing.
Also funnily enough yes I did see that documentary and its what reignited my love and made me go out and buy his journals! So good. Damn you Fogle! DAMN YOU!
