The Stapleton Tavern

You know when you go to a pub, and its so warm and cosy you want to live there forever? I would like to declare the Stapleton Tavern such a pub. Only across the road from more popular pubs such as the Old Dairy at the end of Stroud Green Road, the Stapleton is like being at your Grans house. Except at the pub. Complete with nick nacks, antlers, Naval handbooks, the odd Sweet Valley High [as well as copious other conversation starters] and photos of days gone by on the wall. I'm very much looking forward to winter when I might curl up in front of their fireplace with a mulled wine.

  1. This looks really nice! I rarely go to pubs, but when I do I opt for the Shaftesbury (convenience) or the Railway Tavern. Shall try this one some time!

  2. I keep meaning to try the Shaftesbury actually. I do love the Railway as well. The Stapleton also has REALLY amazing food.

  8. Yes! I hadn't been in when it was the Larkin or whatever [I think that was its name 'the larkin or whatever'] but it looked pretty grimey from the outside, especially against the clean [and frankly soulessness!] of the old dairy. You should pop in! They have big cosy couches and its so huge and spacious in the back, its lovely.

The unlibrary is great also you should come one day. We had a great makers morning yesterday, didn't do much making but did lots of good brainstorming! x
